I have lived at Villa Del Mar for 7 months now and I really can't complain. I've lived in nicer places where bugs weren't an issue and the appliances were more modern than the ones they have here, but for the price and not having to worry about neighbors above or below me, I think its a fair trade off. The maintenance guys are fairly quick. I'm surprised when they aren't at my house the very next day. The walls are a lot thicker here then when I lived at Estates at Maitland Summit. It's probably because this complex is a lot older and was built for quality and not at the cheapest price. When I moved in, I got all new carpeting. I have yet to have one stain that I can't get off this carpet. Major plus. We also have a lot of possums here and apparently they aren't very scared of humans because one came right up to me one night and almost stood on his back legs to try and touch me. That was not cute.
