Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I had to find an Apartment complex quickly because of a job transfer. We toured Vineridge and the Leasing office girl (Lorina - who is no longer working there) told us a bunch of lies in regards to it being quiet & safe.
Staff was all smiles and sweet as Coconut Cream pie until we signed the lease - then Toni-Ann, Lorina, and the one that never returns phone calls: Krystin Strong (Property Manager), treated us like annoyances...especially Toni-Ann. Nasty attitude with no customer relation skills whatsoever.
Our A/C Unit died and it took Maintenance a MONTH to get it replaced - IN THE SUMMER!!! We were without A/C FOR A MONTH IN THE SUMMER!!!
DO NOT GET AN APARTMENT FACING THE PLAYGROUND...blasting rap music every single day - "F" this & "SUCK" that...terrible atmosphere for young children. Stupid kids hitting rocks against the buildings with an aluminum baseball bat. Kids vandalizing walkway lamps by smashing them with golf clubs and bats.
Neighbors had parties and smashed beer bottles against my exterior bedroom wall.
Both our cars were vandalized (broken taillights / keyed paint)
We stayed only one year and called 911 4 times. I actually wrote a multi-page letter to the Property Owner / Management to request 24 hour Security personnel patrolling the property.
There were Police cars CONSTANTLY rolling in to the complex (investigating calls). There was a drive-by shooting into an apartment 2 buildings away from ours.
Apt. break-ins - yes (another long story)
Car break-ins - yes (another long story)
Roaches - yes (another long story)
Filthy breezeways - yes (another long story)
Someone was always dumping detergent in the water fountain at the entrance - making it overflow with suds
I have TONS more stories, but to make a LOOOONG story short, Vineridge Apartments is a NIGHTMARE.
...AND WE WERE ONLY THERE FOR 1 YEAR!!!
STAY AWAY - NOT RECOMMENDED!!! NOT SAFE!!!
