My husband and I moved here in 2002 when it was Post Lake Apartments. We fell in love immediately. We lived on a very beautiful 3rd floor aparment with a lovely view near the pool. We moved from Kissimmee from a terrible aparment where we had awful experiences with neighbors constantly having abusive sex at night amongst other things.that we had to report regularly, so this was bliss to move here. Unfortunately, after 5 months my husband had a brain tumor hemmorhage and landed himself in the hosptial for 8 months. During this time of emmense stress we had to relocate to a 1st floor apartment because my 26 year old husband was severely disbaled.
Post made the transition very easy and accomodated is as much as they could. Maintenance immediately responds to our calls instatnly helped install cieling fans, handicapped railings, fixed the showers, lights, walls, leaks or anything else we needed in record time. All it took wasone call and they were here to help.
My husband now wheelchair bound needed a disabled parking spot and peopel who were not disbaled constatnly would take the spot from us. We called the front office and it was taken care of ASAP sometimes even towing the cars away for us. They also took the time to create an extra handicapped spot for us for our conveneince.
The grounds here are beautiful and very well kept. Living in Aparmtnets for over 12 years from New Jersey and Virginia we have never seen any as beautifully mainatined as this.
Once it was Barrington however the rent skyrocketed but the buidlings were repainted and look beautiful. There is a little problem with teh trash situation and there is no recycling center like there once was in Post Lake.
The most problem is that our new neighbors party a little too late on a regular basis but that comes with apartment living.
We are now moving tomorrow becuase we are moving out of state to be closer to familiy and finish school. We will be sad to leave this place but it was time to move on. This was our sanctuary away from teh obnoxious Orlando traffic on 436 and I-4. On the down side there is a major problem with the gated entrance service as it never works. Rent is too high and some of the families living here have very rude and crass children but that can't be blamed on the complex but rather parenting skills. This is a nice place to live if you have no children. Not sure why but everyone inour building has moved out this month except for one person. We heard rumors that they are trying to turn these into condos as well. So maybe they are weeding out people slowly by raising rent. Overall it was a nice place to be for the time that we needed to. Now we are moving onto a house and are happy to move on.
