Its OK, but You Can Do Better!

My husband lived here before we got married and when I first came to visit his "new" apartment, I noticed that both sinks in both bathrooms were rusted through, mildew had ruined one of the sink cabinets, closet doors were off the hinges and leaning against the wall. Old lighting fixtures, The washer leaked, dryer took 2.5 hours to dry anything(nice electric bill), dishwasher never worked, carpet looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years. Place was a disaster. Of course they had promised him that all those issues would be fixed. After I moved in the only issues that had been fixed were the closet doors and the kitchen sink which had also rusted through. Our regfridgerator broke twice and it took maintenance atleast 4 days and 3 phone calls to come and fix it(both times). My husband's bike was stolen and there was a recent break in. The garbage bins are still too close to the road to see whats around them and there are a lot of little kids that play out here. Walls are paper thin, you can here everything your neighbors say and do.
Overall, I would say its ok if its your first apartment and you are looking for something short term, but if you want a higher standard of living please look elsewhere!
