Don't trust their smile

I lived there 2 years. Was never late on my rent. Never created a problem!
They put a problem tenant across the hall from me. The ex-husband was found dead inside the front door. The lady was walking the parking lot at all times of the night. Lot's of noise at 3:00 am.
The neighbor to my left was broken into in the afternoon.
The management staff smiles until you have a problem. My one neighbor had a problem with the tenant above her. The tenant had a stereo cranked to 10. It took a day to get it turned down.
Be sure, be sure, if you decide to move in after you've been warned, make a copy of your new tenants check list. If you have anything bad to say, it may disappear from their files. The contract reads if you don't return the checkoff list then they assume you had zero problems. Understand what I'm saying'' They can easily lose it. If it disappears then you will need a copy when you get to court. Write down everything!!! Tell them you have a copy...write it on the checkoff list. I had a rug that was a piece of crap when I moved in....they charged my security deposit when I left after 2 years.
I had a leak on a friday night...called 3 times...it got fixed at 10:00 am the next day! Don't expect anything! I told the guy where the leak was. He fixed something else. I had to call him back again. He finally fixed it...
The old management used to keep the place clean. The Gables (the management) hired a guy who leaves trash everywhere. The laundry areas are like skid row!!! Look at the one by military. Maybe they'll clean it after they see this! It is the worst I've ever seen!
It took a month to get the light outside my front door replaced. I should have put the request in writing and withheld rent.
I told the manager that sometimes when I would go to get my mail, the people on the third floor were smoking dope on their outside patio. She said it wasn't her problem. Deal with it! I was one complaint away from calling the local TV station.
In response to the first anonymous post (08/02/07) listed below...there is a link listed below that disputes her post. (http://www.myspace.com/dsk123dsk) It is a letter from Ashley Lake Park that invites me to renew my contract. (you don't invite drug addicts to renew their lease) They wanted me to stay because they knew I was a great tenant. I challenge Miss or Mr. Anonymous to leave their name. They won't. (For me, that would be like hitting the lotto) Also, ask yourself, who would make the statement, "Ashley Lake Park strives to be drug free'" Where do you think the anonymous post listed below came from'
When you get to the link, click on the picture of the letter, you'll see two letters...one from me and one from them...you do need to have a myspace account to see the letters. Keep clicking on the photo until you get the enlarged version. It's worth signing up to read them!

I lived at this complex during the time that the fore spoken events unfolded. The death of the young man was due to an over dose, the break in was drug related.I was informed that the person who left this review was involved with drugs at the times of these mishaps and he didnt want anyone to see the late night traffic into his apartment ... therefore the light outside his apartment never worked.Ashley Lake strives to be drug free. As far as your contract, always copy any document that you sign. Since this guy was evicted from the property, for a drug related incident, there have been very little signs of narcotics on the property.

I was considering moving to Ashley Lake... but now im having second thoughts. Sounds like you are familiar with the rental properties in the boynton beach area, what would be your suggestion for a single mother of 2?

I'm hesistant to recommend something because you have to deal with the school system for your little ones. I don't know which schools are good. (my kids are grown) Try searching the internet for the best schools then look in that area for an apartment. Good luck!

Well Considering that the information given by the first anonymous post would only be known by the ashley lake management and would be illegal to release, I would have to say it is the managment. I find it funny that this person is so informed on information that is not to be released... When I lived at this residence I smelled and saw people smoking pot on a weekly if not daily basis.. I never once saw any type of law enforcement in the area!
