This is a subsidized apartment complex that was remodeled with government money by Auburn Management, Tom Henners, owner. While undergoing vast renovation, much of it is cheap (new kitchen appliances have been installed in all apartments, all are the low-end, the stove is already chipped, the refrigerator door does not close, the dishwasher is already broken, and the new sink leaks). All of this was done at taxpayer expense, and none was done well.

In addition, trees, flowers, and bushes have been put in that died withing a few weeks of planting because the sprinkling system did not work. In addition to this huge waste of taxpayer money, the "guardhouse" for this supposedly guarded community has not had a guard at the gate or within the community for the six years I have lived here. And, the gates of this gated community are open most of the time.

Supposedly an adult community (55 ), Boynton Bay is now advertising that 35 year olds can now move in at $99 with one month free rent, one year free cable TV ($30 something for those of us who already live here), and one year free washer and dryer ($45 for those of us who already live here).

Also, you can only see the apartment manager on Wednesday by appointment and the two women who work in the office are extremely unhelpfull and spend most, if not all of their time, on personal business.

The owner of this place, Tom Henners, may be criticized for driving his Hummer out here, but he should be criticized more for not caring about the residents of Boynton Bay.
