Thank goodness for the short-term lease

The place looks beautiful but the staff at the management office is less than helpful. When I first looked at the place, I thought it was nice. So I make arrangements to sign the lease, but I was never even shown the apartment I would be renting. The staff looked annoyed that I wanted to see the place before signing any paperwork. They also want to charge to have a key issued to use the "amenities" otherwise you have to use the "amenities" during their office hours (which are rather short and inconvenient - closed Sundays). Whenever I ask questions, they don't seem to have the answers and the so-called "manager" is also less than helpful.
It takes several calls to get them to take care of repairs. I still don't know if my repairs will be handled, if at all. Parking is a problem. It's impossible to find a space in front of your unit.
Aside from the parking nightmare, there are people outside at all hours. Cars playing loud music. I don't feel safe jogging around the lake when it's dark.
I am extremely disappointed at this leasing experience since I've never had any problems anywhere else.
