I have lived in Indian Hills since 1999. I really used to love it here. It was a beautiful, tree-lined, well-maintained community for a while. I used to recommend it to everyone I knew looking for an apartment. Then the security gate stopped working. For a year! That's a main reason I moved here and the management makes it sound like it they are doing you a favor by even having gates. In April of 2002, I realized they don't need gates; the thieves already are inside. My apartment was burglarized with no signs of forced entry and I have not given my key out to anyone, never had a roommate or vengefulex-girlfriend. They took my jewelry, digital camera, camcorder, and irreplaceable family heirlooms. When I informed management, they could care less. The property manager coudn't even guarantee my security when I asked her if she could keep my key in her desk. I changed my own locks and did not provide management with a key and purchased a home security camera system at my own expense. They did nothing to fix the problem, as my friend (who referred me here in the 1st place) was ripped off last week, same m.o. No forced entry, as it was someone on their staff obviously. Same indifference from what I hear. And get this... Olen's attorney advised the maintenance staff NOT TO COOPERATE WITH THE POLICE in the investigation. What does that tell you' Anyway, I'm not revnewing my lease. I have never seen such indiference and ass-covering in my life. It is now my mission to make everyone I meet aware of my experience. By the way, I have a yearly termite frenzy and the management plays stupid every year. I agree with other reviewers too; 4 AC repairs, 3 on my kitchen light and it still doesn't work. I gave up! The maintenance stuff are underpaid rejects who have no pride in performing a decent job.
