My hubby and I are former residents of Mahogany Bay, and I can tell you this, what they show you and tell you on the tour, is NOT what you get.

We had so many issues with maintenance, old/leaky A/C unit, broken dishwasher, old hot water heater that gave up the ghost last year, etc. When the A/C coils started to leak water into my carpeting, I had to pull teeth to have the office call maintenance for repair. They told me "Maintenance just went home; can't this wait until Monday'" Uh, yeah, sure. Leave a leaky unit to itself all weekend long, in the South FL heat and humidity, which is a fab place for mold to grow. Hello, folks, pick up the clue phone and put down the celly to the boyfriends please!

And management is just rude, rude, rude. We were (falsely) accused of making too much noise. We tried to set up a mediation meeting, but guess what, no response. So much for your Constitutional right to face your accuser.....

We finally had had enough. Our lease came up for renewal, and we basically said like hell would we ever live here again. Matter of fact, I saw a couple pull up to the rental office, not long after closing time. They asked me if I lived there, and I replied, "Yes, unfortunately." I told them not to waste their time and money, and to find somewhere where the management won't act like little high school brats.

Please don't waste your money there as well...oh and by the way' You'll never get your security deposit back. Maintenance said that our apartment was free of damage upon move-out, but we never got our money back. Shame on you, Gables Mahogany Bay. Shame on you.
