I'm in my first lease with La Costa in a 1/1. I love the apartment, it has a ton of storage space. All the people in my building are quiet and respectful. I've never had any problems with hearing any neighbors through the walls or anything... even when the guy behind us has parties and plays music. I am on the third floor, though, and have quiet neighbors. I've heard other people on first floors complain about being able to hear (only very loud) music. Third floor apartments have high ceilings which is wonderful until your electric bill comes! VERY pet friendly, with a large area where dogs can run around off-leash without a hassle. Very diverse, no more one race than the other.

The management has on and off days. At first they were very nice - replaced our refridgerator and ac when they were broken with brand new ones no problem. As we get towards the end of the lease the management seems to be irritated and short every time we call. I've put in work orders that never got filled, had to call back a week later to remind them. They actually called a towing company on my boyfriends car because they saw the registration had expired! They also had to fix our ceiling from water damage and they finished except for reconnecting the electrical wiring for the hall light and putting the actual bulb/cover back up.... it's been 2 weeks. That's the THIRD time they fixed the ceiling for water damage since we've been there - you think they'd suck it up and fix the roof, too!

All in all, for the price and TERRIFIC LOCATION, we are absolutely happy here - until we have to deal with management, which fortunately isn't that often. If they don't raise our rent too much, we will renew unless we can get more for the same price in the immediately surrounding area.
