Looks Great - But Wait - Don?t Take the Bait!!!

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
Aesthetically, the property is well taken care of, and the buildings look fine from the outside. There is a clubhouse with a very small gym, as well as a small pool on a deck above a small private beach, next to the clubhouse. This is where it ends. Don?t be taken in by the icing!!
There is virtually no insulation between the walls or floors to buffer even normal noise let alone noisy neighbors and loud music. The walls actually vibrate when music is on. The construction of the buildings as well as the workmanship in the apartments is very poor. The moldings around the floor are unevenly and roughly cut, the kitchen cabinets are misaligned, there are cracked tiles in both the kitchen and the hallway, the carpet is the thinnest cheapest junk with extremely thin padding so its like walking on concrete, there are no fans or outlets in the living room, or the second or third bedrooms, the vertical blinds are too short both vertically and horizontally and the front doors don?t fit right letting in dirt, bugs and water when it rains. I could go on and on but you get the idea.
The manger?s positon has turned over 4 times and the person that has this posiion is very unsympathetic to the tenants needs. They yes you to death and are very slow if at all to respond. The apartments have been at 50% capacity up until 6 months ago when they seeming lowered the rents. Now we see an influx of undesireable people. This is not a quiet, enjoyable place anymore. It is overrun with young kids sharing apartments, loud music, loud cars, too many dogs some of which are illegally brought in to non-dog buildings, dog poop all over, and people who do not respect each other or their own apartments.
The clubhouse is often locked as well as the door from the pool that leads to the inside bathrooms. You must walk all around the gated area and have you key card to get in to use the bathrooms because of this. If the clubhouse is locked you cannot get in there at all. Many times there are no paper towels or toilet tissue in the bathrooms.
The parking is adequate but not conveniently located and if you come in late or even on the weekends you are out of luck. Boats and trailers are illegally parked in the lot even though the lease says no boats, trailers, etc.
There is only one garbage compactor which always seems to be inoperable and overloaded causing some tenants to pile garbage on the ground.
The leasing office is nowhere near the pool area and particularly on weekends, anything goes and no rules are followed.
Now, if that isn?t enough, they have just sent a letter around that we will now be charged for water per bedroom. Those of us that pay premium rents now should not have to pay for water at all. By the way, since when do bedrooms use water. Tenants use water and some people have 2-4 adults as well as kids in one apartment. One of the tenants called the City of Boynton Beach Water & Sewer Department and found out that there has not been a water increase or is one imminent in the near future and, the sewer rates have actually dropped.
Except for the new tentants who are locked in with longer leases, everyone is disgusted and fed up and will be leaving ASAP!! Our complaints to the management go on deaf ears.
I strongly recommend you don?t even look here or you will encounter the same aggravation and that many of us are facing now. We cannot see this complex turning around for the better.
