At first glance Quantum Lakes looks very appealing, it's relatively new and a 2nd phase is under construction. The extras are plenty and the grounds are somewhat nice. The leasing agent lied to me from day one which should have been a warning of the things to come. First I was quoted $1500 on a unit that advertised on Rent.com for $1200. I complained and the management said it was a typo, but I found out later that the very same unit I chose rented for the "advertised" amount months after I moved in. Complaints to management went unanswered, they play a mean shell game here. I had several pesky problems with the apartment from leaking ice maker to a bad ant problem in an apartment where I was the first tenant. Gated community but the new gates are always broken. Security sucks, my car was broken into within the first three months. The full-size indoor basketball court, single indoor racquetball court and weight room was always in use in the evening by people who didn't live there. The "clicker" system to control access was broke for months and people came and went as they pleased. Amazing for such a large complex who's idea was to have a SINGLE dumpster for trash' Many residents put their garbage on their cars when they left in the morning and if it fell off they didn't bother to pick it up, there was trash always in the street, sometimes a line to dump trash. The dumpster was always full, garbage all over the place. Many times I say impatient tenants just toss their trash bags around the dumpster, I feel sorry for those who's units faced this smelly visual disaster. Same problem with mail, large complex and a single mail pickup area, always trashed with junk mail all over the place and at night not a very safe place, always punks and kids hanging around late at night. Unless management take better care of it's tenants and resolves the garbage, mail and security issues, I would NOT recommend this complex.
