We moved here October of 2007, and I can't stand it. Sorry if you like it but you must live in the front four buildings. I live in the back and it's awful. The trash is overflowing in the dumpster closest to us because the residents are plain nasty. Consider this place one step above income restricted housing because that is what it is. The residents have had problems with home invasions and car burglery more than once. I see the cops at the building next to us quite frequently. When we moved in it was dirty even though they charge a fee to make sure the place gets properly cleaned when you leave. Also, it smelled like a crack house because the person next door lived like a crack addict. It took the complex 4 months to get that apartment ready and they needed masks to work in there...
We have had problems with spiders from the beginning. Orkin came out at least 6 times and the last time told me they needed to fog.
The office staff handles your requests for maintanence by writing it on a sticky note, leaving you to wonder when it is going to be put in the system''' The maintanence is a little tricky sometimes. The person I get doesn't seem to know what he's doing over half the time and just tries to figure it out as he's going. I had to get a simple request fixed three times, and not until the head of maintanence came did it get done right. Add that to the fact that the A/C thermostat is about 5 degrees off in all the apartments (on purpose because they won't buy better thermostats, however we were told we could get one if we wanted and no they wouldn't reimburse us). My maintanence guy is nice, but super hard to understand (he's foreign).
There is nowhere near enough parking near our place...
Also, we got a discount for being in the military, but even so they are raising the rent $50 at our renewal. We're definitely leaving. This place is not worth $900 a month. It looks great outside because they spend a boatload of money on the grounds, but that is it. (I could keep going but this is the main stuff, you don't need a full novel)
