I've lived here for almost a year, and it's really not THAT bad. I'll admit, the staff in the office are completely unknowledgeable, unhelpful, rude, and sometimes outright nasty. But the apartment itself is not awful. We keep to ourselves, and genreally fix our own problems around the house, just because it's not worth the hassle. They lost our rent check one month and almost evicted us. They were nasty about the whole situation. Recently, we lost our outgoing mailbox... someone in the office told me it Post Office took it because there wasn't enough outgoing mail. Hmmm. Something doesn't sound right. My theory is someone stole it and the office doesn't want to deal with all the angry people who lost mail. The garbage situation is tragic. Supposedly our lease is being renewed, but it's been two months since we resigned, and they still won't give us a copy of the lease. Word is, they're waiting for the manger to sign it.... that is really excellent service (note my sarcasm). I wouldn't recommend living here unless it's your last option, and you can at least make your own repairs.
