I decided to move to Boynton Beach because of its convenient central location in the county. The location of the property is close to schools, dining and shopping, and highways. But thats about all the good that you're going to get out of this dump. I knew of the red flags before I moved here but still did'nt beleive it was this bad. My reason for moving here were the low move in costs on top of a free month. But almost from the beginning there were problems. First were the terrible neighbors on all corners. From knocking at your door late at night all strung out asking for money to a lady who owned birds that would'nt allow me to sleep with all the noise they made and to numerous drug trafficers peddling whatever. Management has no respect in terms of property upkeep as the place is filthy. Then out of no where they added $25 or so to the rent for trash pickup. And if you violated trash pickup terms they would issue fines. But perhaps the most troubling aspect came at moveout. I did my walk thru and turned in my keys. Thought I was good to go and waited for my security deposit (which was a very meager sum, but still) I never recieved it. One year had passed and not only did I never get my money, but they have took me to collections stating I damaged the property. There was NO damage except for the common carpet stain those cheap carpets attract and can be washed out for $60. So now I am in a legal battle with them. All I can say to apartment hunters is that you have other options. I cannot imagine someone actually wanting to live here other than the low costs, but for less than a dollar a day you can find a comparable property thats much better. Sandpiper is on the downslide and eventually will come crashing down. Dont be stuck.
