Not the best

I lived in Savannah Lakes for approximately 9 months. It has some good points and some bad points. It's a very pretty and quiet community...or at least it was when I lived there. I felt safe there. It's very convenient and close to shopping. Our apartment had a very nice layout.
The bad points are these: There was dog poop everywhere because noone ever cleaned it up, the trash compactor was constantly overflowing, you pass the entrance because the sign is blocked by overgrown shrubbery, management is uncooperative. My husband lost his job right after we moved in and we were struggling. My inlaws were kind enough to pay the rent for us that month but the management office refused to accept their check, however they had no problem leaving a letter threatening eviction on our door the next day because the rent was late. We had the management office stop by more than once to complain because we had a visitor's car parked on the road in front of our apartment (including the day we were moving in). They insisted we use one of the many visitor spots. The problem is that we drove around the entire complex and found maybe 3 visitor spots total and of course they were all full. I guess they don't like visitors. Maintenance sucked. It took them 2 weeks to fix our washer and dryer and they had to come out at least 4 times over the course of the 9 months we were there to flush out the a/c because it kept backing up and flooding the hallway. Speaking of flooding the hallway when we moved they tried to charge us $800 in addition to our deposit money for the damage to the carpet from all of that flooding. I was pissed! They tried to pass it off as pet damage. Aside from that nonsense, one of the doors of the washer/dryer area fell off and broke a hole in the bedroom door across from it and when we called maintenance to come and fix it they insisted "someone" (insinuating that it was my husband) must have punched it and they refused to fix it without us paying for it. Not to mention the fact that 3 times we got letters on our door saying that they were doing mandatory maintenance inspections so I stayed home because of my dog and of course noone showed up so I missed work and lost pay for nothing.
