If you love animals- DONT COME HERE

When we moved in there was a number of problems that we found that already existed prior to moving in, such as cracks, appliances not working properly, burnt out light bulbs...
We found beer bottle caps and goldfish in crevices in the kitchen, a pre-existing stain on our carpet. The a/c often has a musty smell.
You have to pay a THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR deposit for having an animal here, not only for dogs, but also for cats, you're limited to TWO per unit, and yet they still get an extra 20-40 dollars out of you per month. Sure you get $200 back from your original deposit, but even if you're paying for only a small cat, that's TWENTY bucks a month, over the course of a 12 month lease, that's $240 the landlord and his wife are making off of you simply not wanting to have a lonely home! PLUS $100, from your original deposit. $340 that they are guaranteed to recieve, just because you have a small cat living with you.
The pool is grungy looking and VERY small, there's no playground, it's hell to get in and out of the subdivision due to the fact that it's right off of busy Cortez Rd., the washer and dryer are no better, if not worse, than the ones at the laundry mat, there is no assigned parking, and it is just not a nice enough place to require their tenants to pay so much for a cat or even a small dog. A puppy or a large dog is understandable, but even then, the pet rent, that is just insane.

We sure wish folks would let us know of a maintenance issue via our office (open 6 days a week) instead of an on-line forum. Our guess is this may have been posted by a tenant who no longer lives here who moved a cat in on the sly. It's true, we do charge pet rent. The reason is simple, our costs are higher to turn-over an apartment where a pet has lived. Paint and carpet are the usual victims. We encourage anyone reading this to stop in and see our apartments. Our pet policies and fees have not changed or gotten higher for over seven years (probably more).

Actually I still live here. I personally don't have a pet because of the "outrageous" prices. But, that being said, when the rating was written I was upset about having to get rid of my pet upon moving in. I could've found a complex without these fees I was complaining about. Maintenance is much better than I originally thought. I would rate the apartments a 7 out of 10. I was angry and upset when I wrote the review. After seeing some other apartment complexes that friends live in, this isn't so bad :)
