I have lived here over 3 years on the river. We looked at another apt but this one came up first and was offered it if I wanted. There is a waiting list like every place else. When you sign up for an specific apt size you will be put on the list, if another comes up they give you the option to take it or wait for the exact one you wanted. I was shown the different layouts, I beleive, each time. The one I got is better then the one I wanted and the price was almost the same. It also has a better view and size then I expected.
If you have more then 2 cars, the rule is to rent a covered parking space because of space issues. There has been maintaince issues and were handled very quickly. The apts are slightly old but this place has been here awhile so this is to be expected. Security could be alittle better at the gate but nothing that really effects me, yet. Office workers have been great to me, if I have problems they are polite and get to it quickly 98% of the time. The only issue I had that I wasn't satisfied with was my rug has worn out and would have liked to have another put in but that means moving ALL my furniture, They did clean the rug, thats part of renewing the lease.
My only issue is my neighbor walks very heavy and likes to bang stuff around alot, he also parks his truck in front and backs in with a large pole sticking out and bumper is over the walkway. I have asked him to park differently but wouldn't. I complained to the office a few times and sometimes he parks front in (that is a rule anyway) then goes back to the old way. The garbage area could be picked up better but doesn't kill me. We have alot of raccoons that like our area and the management has set traps, the raccoons are too smart. If my neighbors would latch the tops we wouldn't have such an issue.
It would be nice if we had laundry in the apts but that is one reason for the low price. But all in all I like it here and would recommend it to others. The complaining people should have the nerve to put there name on. Alot of these whinners are usually the same people that don't follow the rules or pay their bills on time so management aren't going to go out of there way for them. I pay on time and don't have the issues they have, very interesting. Remember that you can never make everyone happy and some people just love to complain about everything and usually bring these problems on themselves. If you want to complain, be bold and put your name up there.
Anyway, I like it here and if you don't...MOVE.
