I have been living in Carlton Arms for 2 years now and my lease is up and I am moving out. When I first moved here from out of state it seemed like a great place to live. Controlled access made me feel very safe. Although, I have had numerous friends come visit me and the guards just pass them right on in. Which worries me because they may just pass a criminal right on in. Also, My a/c breaks every few months and they come to fix it and hte next day it's down again. The faucet in the shower leaks when you turn it on... not from the actual faucet part but the hot water handle. My dishwasher has been broken for months and no one has come to fix it. I have reported many repairs that need to be done to the privacy fence on the patio and the gate and it still has yet to be fixed. I have had my laundry stolen out of a dryer. I had forgotten my dryer sheets at the apt and left for 5 minutes after starting the dryer and I coem back and my clothes were gone. I reported it to the office and the lady told me there was no way that someoen took my clothes that I must have misplaced them. I have not done my laundry here since for fear all of it may come up missing again. The pools are never that clean. People who do not live here are always in the poool causing problems. One time I was at the pool with my niece and a group of black and mexican ppl who did not live here were there being very rude obnoxious and not following any pool rules and I called the office and they did nothing about it and later that night the vending machines at the back pool were broken in to due to their neglagance of not kicking the non residents out. fortunately my neighbors are very nice. The people across the hall and upstairs and the people who use to live upstairs and across the hall. Although now there are new tenants living upstairs and across the hall who throw their trash in the front of hte building, I have reported that many of times and nothing is being done. Every day I come home from work there is a bag of trash or pizza boxes or some sort of trash in the front. It makes our building look as though we are all slobs. The so called excercise room they offer is garbage. something is always broken and it smells to high heaven in there. No one ever follows the rules in there either. I'm glad My lease is up and I'm moving out before it falls to shambles. And as the property and maintance gets worse they higher the rent 60 dollars a month. I can move into a better place for the same amount of money and not worry about my clothing being stolen or the neighbors throwing trash out in the front lawn and where there is parking near my buidling. I always have to park far away. Also when i firsted moved in it was right after a hurricane and the shutters and shingles were all off our building then finally this summer 2 years later decided to fix it...

I understand your pain however I am offended by your black and mexican comment. I wish you would have tried to be little politically correct. I know I have seen many white non residents be just as rude and obnoxious especially those with that stupid confederate flag and the ones who have dogs that they let use the bathroom by your vehicle, right under your kitchen window, or right behind your not so private - privacy fence.
