My husband and I heard the Bradenton area was beautiful and started looking at several apartment complexes in July when we were here on vacation. Every single one of the apartments all had something we didn't like. There was either no hot tub, no washer/dryer hookup, not well maintained, landscape was not kept up or they were just too expensive... and none looked like the pictures on the internet... until we found Fountain Lake Apartments in Bradenton.

Living at Fountain Lake is like living in paradise. I can't for the life of me think why someone would remark this is the "ghetto" - seriously''' I wonder if this person knows what a "ghetto" even looks like. I'm from New York. Let's see... Beautiful palm trees, not one piece of garbage on the ground, beautifully landscaped, GEORGOUS pool and BBQ area overlooking a huge lake (which surprised me has the cutest little gators who apparently like to eat bread') incredible Fitness Center with newer equipment, business center, a pet park, tennis courts, huge screened in patio or balcony, huge living room, huge bedrooms, large bathrooms, walk in closets, brand new appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer (we rent ours through them for a VERY cheap price), new stove, new fridge, and extremely QUIET... yeah - REAL GHETTO! HA!!!! It's like living on Fantasy Island. I have not seen one single thing that has upset me here... not one thing illegal, not one bad person - and believe me, I could spot one being from New York.

Everyone is exceptionally friendly including the staff and the maintenance people are great! We had an awful ride down to FL from NY with everything that you could imagine going wrong and even though the office here closed at 6pm there was someone here at 9pm showing us our apartment. Where else would you find someone that would stay 3 hours overtime just to welcome new tenants! Only here. Anywhere else would've said "Good luck - see ya tomorrow!" Living in New York took it's toll on me and was extremely stressful at times. I eventually developed horrible panic attacks and was put on medication for stress and anxiety..... I have not had to take one of my pills since being here. Not one pill! The stress is gone. I work, go to the pool after work, sit in the hot tub, relax with my husband and we pinch ourselves everyday how we got so lucky. We absolutely love it.
