I am lucky to have one of the apartments here that has nothing wrong with it aside from an old dishwasher that does not work.Inside,I like my apartment just fine.Outside,that is another story.It seems as if you are not wealthy,you must sacrifice alot and not expect alot when choosing an apartment.I am a single mother,divorced and I struggle to live in a decent place that I can afford.First of all,the gates do not work for more than a few weeks,so we are paying for "security"that does not exist.Not to mention the fences at the side of the complex are all falling down so really the gates are a joke anyway.The grounds are pitiful,I guess we cannot afford any landscaping,just basic lawn mowing.The grass is bald in many areas.The trees are nice though,thankfully they have left them.The noise level particularly at night is deafening.I live in the front and the majority of hoodrats live in the back.(thank god for that)They come in at night,does not matter what time with their stupid stereos so loud it shakes the apt.There are no enforced rules here,no security.People in the pool till 3 am.Anything goes here.The "fitness room"is the size of a closet with some old broken down,ghetto equipment that I would not use if my life depended upon it.It is hot and smells like mold.There are no washer/dryer units in most units and they cost way too much extra.I have heard lots of horror stories of how badly some of these apartments are,from water damage,mold,roaches etc.I believe that simply because I fall within a certain income bracket does not mean I should not be able to live in a safe,attractive,quiet environment.Also the features I pay for should be adequate and working.There is alot of improvement needed here.
