I lived in there when I was in high school with my family. We did not have much money and because of that, my 3 year old brother and 9 year old sister had to live in the ghetto for a year and see drug deals happen on a regular basis. It was a cess pool for child molestors as well. My siblings were afraid to leave the house, as was my mother and I unless my father came and even then, feelings of safety were not guaranteed. How do you feel safe with a group of fifty hoodlums with knives outside your home'
There are so many problems as well. We were told that we would get brand new carpet and tile floors and for this we paid extra. We moved in to cracked linoleum and stained carpeting.
I assumed that this was apartment living because as soon as our lease was up, we moved into a house. However, I am now a student at USF and I find a better living environment in my apartment in Tampa right outside the projects and I feel much safer as well.
Take my advice, especially if you have children. You don't want to have to worry about the lives of your children every time they go to the playground.
