Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the Greatest Facade on Earth! Save your time and energy, make a U-Turn, and go back out the way you came. Do Not Rent Here. This is nothing more than a complex of "Good Looks", with its manicured landscape and seemingly well maintained buildings. However, upon closer view, the buildings are not as well maintained as they seem from the road. Lucerne is a Facade in its truest form.

The grounds however, are very well manicured, always have been. Maybe they should think about hiring the landscapers to run the community'''

Parking - it's awful, put simply. People will park on the curbs, which end up blocking you from being able to get in/out of your parking space, if you were lucky enough to have one that is. This is also dependant on the side of the community you live on.

The Fence & Gate - They are always broken! Please DO NOT be fooled by this false sense of security. They are always broken, sometimes taking a week or 2 in getting them repaired. The fencing around the community has at least 3 points where people have bent the bars, allowing access into the community. All in which have been pointed out, time and time again, and are still, to this day, bent open. Ahhhhh...the site of random kids coming in from the road with their bikes to ride around and cause trouble, or the sight of just seemingly "random" people loitering the community.

Security Officer - Yes, you can call them, and they will respond, in about an hour. Another clever facade.

Residents - Rude, inconsiderate, and severely lacking common courtesy. You will have plenty of yelling in breezeways, doors slamming, loud music, banging, stomping, and heavy walking. If you do move in, I STRONGLY suggest a 3rd floor apartment. Honestly, it's like a College Dormitory for grownups.

DO NOT live near the pool! In the warmer months, you can count on yelling and screaming at the pool from 10pm-12am every night.

DO NOT live near the tennis courts! There, games will be played during, and up until, those same hours. And, both of these amenities above carry the added bonus of people, who DO NOT reside at Lucerne, taking full advantage of them. How do they get in' those wonderful gates that stay open.

How do you know they are not Residents' A. You can see them drive off in their cars, and leave the community. B. It's a small, once private, community, so you tend to know who the "regulars" are as time goes on.

However, this side of the community is where the best parking is located, so you will have an interesting choice to make. You can either park on one side of the community, and walk and live on the complete other. Or, have parking near the actual building you live in, which is near the pool and tennis courts, but have to deal with noise from these areas.

Quite Hours - Are more like a recommendation that no one has the ability to follow. And, I think recommendation is the best word for what "quite hours" are, because they are NOT enforced.

Office Staff - Don't bother. Like the waste of time and energy it was going into Lucerne, you will be wasting more of it, along with your breath, in speaking to the office staff. And, for those who think, "let me just call rather then walk over there", good luck getting them to answer the phone.

Maintenance - the guys are great, timely in getting repairs/request done, IF they in fact receive the work orders. My only complaint, some things they fix are more of a "temporary solution", If you will. The caulk around your tub/bathroom WILL crack and mildew, which is just re-caulked, again, and again. Ummmm, okay, glad that's solved.

Filing complaints will lead to filling repeated and multiple complaints, mostly over the same issues, resulting in, once again, being a waste of time. IF they are actually filed, stressing "if", the residents do not comply, they do however tend to become more resentful and petty then anything. They do however love to portray the "image" as though "the problem has been taken care of, and you should have no further issues"...that's one of my favorites.

Should you receive any invitations to "speak up with suggestions on how to improve the community", once again, save yourself the time and effort. They will "hear" you, but they won't be "listening" to you.

And, if you're lucky enough to have the SAME Property Manager, not 4 different managers in a 1 year lease term, you MAY get somewhere. However, the current Property Manager is useless, and I suggest using the time you may waste in speaking with her on something more valuable, like moving out. You are better off speaking with a Chimpanzee. She even lives on property to "help keep an eye on things, ensuring Lucerne is a great place to live." Wow, that's a relief.

I hope you like Chinese food, because the soliciting is just endless, and you will have a very impressive collection of Chinese Menus.

On a positive note, the layouts are wonderful, they do however need severe updating/upgrades......a wrecking ball usually works great for such projects.

I also agree with you 100%. We have lived here for about a month and just got neighbors who are horrible and now we're stuck. Our fridge is leaking on the floor and they can't be here for 2 days and the light in the kitchen is hanging on by a thread but they can't seem to find time to fix it. And office staff? What office staff. I could run the place better with my eyes closed. It took us 11 days just to hear if we got the place all the while being lied to by certain staff members that they contacted our jobs for verification. Wish I would have read this first!!
