This apartment community is full of drugs and some guns. It is not safe for anyone, and if you have kids, don't move here. The manager is nice to you when you come to see the place, and if your lucky a few weeks after that. Once you've been here for about a month, she treats you like an idiot. The manager's favorite saying is "there's nothing I can do, you just need to call the cops." Now, who wants someone with no sympathy' If she doesn't like her job, and if she doesn't like people, she needs to go somewhere else. The management is NEVER on the up and up. I feel like I'm lied to constantly. The pool was closed for 85% of the summer, and from what residents tell me that have lived here a long time, its been that way forever. I know when I go to my friends' places, their pools are always open, in fact the mangagers there will tell you sometimes they have to shut down the pool for 2-3 hours due to shocking it. The pool here is down for weeks, and in somecases months! If there is something bad happens here, it really never happened according to the manager. Now if she thinks some of us are idiots, well....
The crime and drugs are heavy in the area. I know crime can happen anywhere, but you have a better chance of getting gunned down here, just call the sherrif's dept. They will tell you the crime statistics. I just know I'd rather live somewhere that I felt more safe, and had less of a chance to run into crimes. There are kids in here that act as if they are gangs, and they bully the younger kids, but of course some of the younger kids make this all up is what the manager will tell you because she knows everyone real well. What the manager won't tell you is that she is loosing a lot of good tenants due to the bad ones she HAS to move in to make her statistics look pretty. Management says there is a background check; however, if there is one done, my name is definately Uncle Sam. It amazes me with the drugs and shootings here, how some of these people do not have records. And come on people, these people have to live somewhere..so they come home to Palisades.

Well princeedward, it sounds like you've had a bad experience here and the only way to "get back" at the people running the place is to lie about stuff and try to run people off! It's very sad to know that you have nothing better to do in your free time except write bull crap like this! I have lived here about 2 years now and I have not had any problems whatsoever. Yeah the cops are gonna come out here, you can't expect any property to be perfect! And if some people make a living selling dope and haven't gotten caught, do you think it would come up in a backround check? Nope! And about the pool, I know of a few problems that was going on with it(that was beyond the managments control). Basically, I'm happy here, it is a GREAT place, and the manager is GREAT and on top of things as much as she can be. I have alot of respect for a manager that has to run an entire property on her own!! She tries very hard to do a great job for her residents!

Palisades is a great place to live and I have lived here for years and so have other members of my family. We love it and the manager is nice and helpful. Hopefully the first guy has moved nobody wants to live aroound somebody like him.
