If you want a high class place, go pay high class money. I wanted a cheap place and that's exactly what I got. As far as the other reviews, yes I did have roaches when I first moved in and I was disgusted. What did I do - I went out and got some combat traps and I haven't seen a roach in six months. I've only had one maintenence problem and it was taken care of the same day I reported it. Other than that, my main complaints are my upstairs neighbors and running around like they're wrestling every day! The other neighbors can be noisy at times, but I grew up in a noisy enviromnent so it doesn't bother me. This place is not for suburban people - if you're a city person like me, it's not that bad. I'm originally from up north and it's not half as bad as some things I've seen up there. There are plenty of apartment complexes in the surrounding area that cost a little more, so you DO have choices. I have never seen any drug deals, heard gun shots, or anything else that would make me fear for my safety and I pray that I don't or else I will come back and write another review. I don't plan on living there forever, but for now it's fine.
