Could Be Better

Turkscap II is a relatively quiet community with only a few children that I've noticed. There doesn't seem to be any rowdy, loud or otherwise obnoxious residents (so far) and everyone I've met has been friendly enough. The management is pretty amiable as well.
Parking is generally abundant but, due to the lack of assigned parking spots, I sometimes find myself frustrated when all of the good spots are taken up by visitors.
The one bedroom apartments lack washer and dryer hook-ups, so you're forced to use the laundry facilities at the neighbouring complex (yeah, we don't have our own - it's a mystery to me too). This in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there are only four washers and they are often all in use at one time by other residents. Moreover, they require quarters to operate but no change machine is provided, so you will have to somehow get change ahead of time.
As for the apartments themselves, I would say they're adequate at best. They're hardly "dives," but they're at least 20-years-old and definitely showing their age.
The walls seem to be thick enough to avoid any noise issues, but then again, perhaps I just have quiet neighbours. Speaking of walls, they did a god-awful job painting my apartment before I moved in. It looks like they only did one quick coat and there are paint drips all over the baseboards and molding. A 10-year-old who has never painted before could have done a better job.
The carpeting is "okay" but the cheap tile in the bathroom and kitchen is due for replacement. Also, the built-in livingroom shelving units which they boast as an amenity are chipped up and old looking, and, in my opinion, are a waste of good wall space.
Similar to the interior, the exterior of the complex is showing its age and is desperately in need of a good paint job. The roof is also covered in leaves, branches, moss and other debris and needs a serious cleaning.
The biggest downfall to these apartments is the lack of central air. Instead they have wall-mounted air conditioner units like the ones commonly found in motel rooms. This is all well and good so long as you don't shut your bedroom door, otherwise you may roast to death in your sleep. They're also very loud so they'll drown out your TV unless you blast up the volume.
In summary, I would say these apartments are somewhat small and are definitely old looking, but they're probably the cheapest apartments you will find outside of the ghetto. The best thing, though, is that the residents are quiet and mostly keep to themselves. That's primarily what keeps me here.
