I have read all the comments and I will have to agree with all the ones that speak negative of Sterling Palms. The main problem would be the amount of children running around unsupervised. They are too old for the rickety old playground which is at the farthest point in the complex. So they run around in the stairwells, leaving behind messes, making loud noises, and the older kids seem to have created a "gang" atomosphere. Background checks do not seem to keep anyone out of this complex. Drugs are being sold in the parking lot, vehicles vandalized, children fist fighting. The children ruin the amenities, which the management has a hard time keeping repaired. The gym has never had all the equipment working at the same time. The pool and jacuzzi gets closed every Monday for "maintenance", then it gets closed when unsupervised children put bubbles it the spa. The tennis courts has never had working lights since I've been here. I could go on & on.
I have been a tenant for 1.5 years, and I am breaking my lease and forfeiting my deposit to do so. Just remember that the rent special may seem great. But at the end of the lease your rent may go up and you may not be able to afford to move when your lease is up.
The landscaping is great in the front of complex but the back is not nice at all.
