I've lived here for two and half years now, and I have definitely seen a decline in the Westbury. I've read other people's complaints so I'll just touch on a few things...the gates are definitely broken all the time. As far as safety goes, I've seen a few break-ins since I've been here, but nothing that seems too serious. Some shady characters seem to find their way on the grounds once and awhile, but nothing has ever come of it. The apartment itself seemed great when I got it, but the A/C only keeps the place cool about 50% of the time (although I have a 3rd floor). The construction of the place really is shody though. I totally agree the dishwasher is completely useless. I don't think they have any padding under the carpet as I have had numerous noise complaints against me because I work night shift and basically walk around the apartment at night. I don't blame my neighbors, the floors and walls are just that thin. During the day, it seems like I can hear everything throughout the complex, so I guess that's pretty negative. Not sure what the point of the tanning beds is, they're locked up 90% of the time. Parking can be a pain because quite a few people bring their commercial vehicles home to include a big rig type of truck and numerous vans. Management here has come and gone and the quality varies with each new group. If there is a problem between residents, they definitely seem disinclined to intervene, even going as far as to just to recommend calling the cops immediately when honestly iit was unecessary. The current group seems pretty decent and well-meaning. I think their product is just sub-par and plan on moving as soon as possible. Oh yes, VERY overpriced after their initial "deal". My rent has gone up $200 in two years. The pet deposit/fee is a scam, but one that seems somewhat prevalent throughout Tampa/Brandon
