My wife and I lived at the Harbor for approximately two years. The first year went well and we chose the harbor mainly because of the grounds and lakeside living. The second year was terrible. If you are wondering why the Harbor was recently gated' It's because neighbors demanded it! Our downstairs neighbor's apartment was broken into several times while they were out at school, so many times in fact, that when new tenants moved in, they could not get renter's insurance on their apartment. My wife and I owned a pair of Sea Doo Jet Skis (many tenants have boats as the 650 acre lake is excellent) but our Jet skis and double trailer (a $10,200 value)were stolen right out of our rented carport. We watched one week later from our apartment while our friend's Jet Ski was stolen at 12:04 am by two men in a Ryder Truck. In the following week, a neighbor's Dukati Motorcycle was being stolen and when I tried to stop the theifs, they struck me with their vehicle. When we reported these incidences and demanded that management do something (anything) to stop it, we found that these thefts had been going on for many months. Boat props, boat outboard drive units, jet skis, burglaries, money from laundry change machines, and more, all stolen from renters without a word of it from management to protect the renters. If you are renting at the Harbor, call the casselberry police to learn how serious the problem is, the Harbor management will not tell you because they don't want to jeaopardize their potential rentership. If you ever need their help when you lose your shirt, you will get a cold shoulder. Nice landscaping, neighbors and bargain lakefront living but due to the rest......RENTERS BEWARE!!!!
