Taking our money

My sister and I moved into reflections April 2008. We did not have any problems until move out. We turned in our keys Thursday April 30 2009, the date we put down in out contract as our move out date. They said they would walk our apartment and get back to us. We finally called them and the girl said we should be getting our deposit check in the mail soon. The check never came so we called again gave them our new address they said they would cancel the old check and send us a new one. Last month (August) I went in because I was tired of calling and being told the same thing. The manager then told me we would not be getting a check in fact we owe them money, they are trying to day we did not move out till May 7th. They are also claiming we did not turn in our keys which we know we did. They say we have no way in proving that our keys were turned in and we owe them money bacuase the had to break into our apartment and the keys were left inside. How may I ask did I lock the door without the keys and why would I want to keep them I would much rather have my deposit money back then an old aprtment keyand what the heck did I go to the office for' Needless to say we are contacting the dispute office on this. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

I agree with you, I handed in my keys when I left in July of 2008. I gave them to the only guy that worked in the office at the time. They called me asking for my keys. I told them who I gave them too and they had to wait for him to come back to work so he could find them, and he did. What organization huh? This was the worst living experience I EVER had.

my husband and i lived there 8/2007 to 2008. we were charged $130 and lost the deposit b/c we " left pots and pans in the oven" and they had to clean the cupboards out( me, my husband and my mother in law cleaned that place out and did a last minute check to make sure we got everythign) and we were charged to replace the crappy carpet b/c of " pet damage" where the leaky window was ( which was "fixed" several times but it kept leaking)and where it was starting to fray and come apart just from every day use and from vacuuming and steam cleaning. then the best part is, i got a call from a debt collector in july 2009 stating that we didnt pay them! i told them i did...i then called erica in the office( who was the one i paid the bill with, she took the card and filled out the paper work) at reflections and told her what was going on and said she would call me back. when i found the credit card statement that SHOWED I PAID IT i called the debt collector back and got info to send proof of payment. never did hear back from her...

I agree I moved out of this place in Jan. 2009. I turned my keys into the office. They said would call me once they did the walk through. They originally told me that someone would do a walk through when I came to turn my keys in. When I arrived on a Sunday to do my walk through, I was told that it wasnt necessary to do the walk through I just needed to turn my keys in. Before exiting my apartment I took still pictures and video of my apartment for documentation purposes. After not receiving a phone call or a deposit check from the Complex, I called them. They said that Erica was handling my file and she would call me back. After three more attempts to contact her, I got through. She proceeded to tell me that they had to replace the carpet in my apartment because they was a bleach stain on it. She also said I owed for my utilities. I refuted these claims. I asked to see pictures and documentation of the apt. I asked to come down there to see this because I had my documentation. She said they couldnt do that they would send it to me in the mail. Needless to say I never received anything. I finally months down the road got word from a relative that someone was looking for me. After looking into the situation I found out it was a collection agency. So how is it possible that you can contact a reference but you cant contact me. I spoke to the collection agency and faxed over documentation of my paid account. I asked for an itemized bill to be sent to me they never sent. I never got a call back from them. When I sent a complaint in to the GM Dayami Reyes she sent me a response back saying the charges are valid, dispite my paper work from istabill saying I had a zero balance for utilities. I would never recommend anyone to this complex. They are flat out stealing money from people. I stayed here for 2 years and never had a problem till I moved out. I see where they are getting the money for the new upgrade...what a joke. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau
