I have lived here for 2 years, I have had mostly great experiences with the staff, I needed my A/C fixed because it ran but didn't cool down, my shower fixed(which I think my husband broke), and pest control done in my house just the other day, the SAME DAY i called maintenance who are extremely friendly came out and fixed everything, I was so happy because I get sick from the heat and they took care of me. I havn't heard of anything broke into, theft, etc. except what I read on here...which I am not saying does not happen, it happenes everywhere, I do think it seems to be getting better than worse. The Bug complaints are true I am sure, i have had bugs but your rent includes pest control every Tuesday so ask them to do the inside of your apt and you won't have to complain about it for a few months, you live in florida, you live with Bugs, simple as that. and thats coming from me who absolutely hates bugs, also I don't usually talk to Kim so I am not sure how much of a ----- she really is but she is helpful with me when I need to talk to her, I do know ex employees talked bad about her but they aren't there just like residents don't have to be either... although i think alot of responses to peoples complaints and some comments on this site are done by Sunshadow Employees, I think its almost necessary just to keep up the rating. If its really that bad, move out people, no one is forcing you to live here but I do understand the fair housing act and if you don't feel you are being treated fairly take it up with the fair housing group, Sunshadow has a plaque posted in the office with the address of them, I saw it when I was in there, waiting to talk to the lady about my water bill which i might add she is always busy but takes time out to help me understand my bill and immediately take care of any incorrections done by AUM. The girl that sits at the desk when you first come in and I can't remember her name for the life of me, she is always super nice to me as well, Yes I am white/caucasian but they need residents so I can't imagine them being racist, rude, etc which they are being accused of.. Unlike past apts I have lived in the longer I stay my rent does go up but when I moved in I was paying under $700/mo for 2 bed/2 bath, which was a GREAT deal. The floorplan here is really nice and you get alot for your money, go elsewhere and you would pay over $1,000/mo. I have had my issues with Sunshadow just like every other apt complex has but if you aren' rude to them they fix them right away to keep me a happy resident, so I really can't complain too much. My guess is if you that are being treated "rudely", "Unfair", etc... i am guessing you are being that way to them as well, Try to remember the golden rule, They probably dont' want you at their complex if they have to consistently listen to you few residents ----- at them all the time. I am guessing they are praying you move out. So if you are looking to move here, it would be a great place to look at. Great Apt for your money!

This place is horrible, kim is the reason for it. She is a nasty witch and needs to be fired, for her nasty attitude problem and maria as well. You can hear everything above and beside you in this place, bad sound barriers, also you like dog poop??? NOT a problem you see it everywhere. Nobody wants to help you , no matter how nice you are.

in response to the original comment, BUGS are everywehre, bring your own pesticide and use it, you will get nowhere with the maintence here, this place has a bad bug problem. Its not Floridas fault or the weather, its the complex. period.this place is not worth the time trouble or money, and its NOT cheap!

Sorry, but just because pest control is scheduled, it does not get rid of termites and squirrels. If pest control actually worked the way it is supposed to, then why is it still roach infested?
