1/4/05 We had an excellent experience at the Mirasol. I wish things would have worked out so that we could have stayed longer. I felt at peace with my wife and two little girls being at the Mirasol, while I worked 10 to 12 hours a day, not one time did I worry about their safety. The Mirasol took a chance on us as we were trying to put our lives back together financially. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and allowed us to forget about our problems for awhile. Although we heard of others who had problems with mold, we did not experience that at all. As for the noise, we lived in the main resort building on the third floor with people above and below us, and we honestly heard very little-nothing to complain about. The staff was always friendly to us, in fact, they surprised our little girls with gifts on Halloween and Christmas! The concierge Michael was wonderful to us, went out of his way for us one time when we really needed it. He always held the heavy door for my wife when she entered and exited the building with the stroller and bike trailer. Often he gave my daughters free ice cream passes to the ice cream shop downtown. The maintenance staff were good, especially Roberto. I felt like he was a good buddy. We made close friendships with more than a few residents during the year we lived there. We thought our apartment and screened-in balcony was beautiful and peaceful. The layout of the apartment was wonderful, at 1756 sq ft. We loved the fitness room, the pool, the hot tub. If we had the chance to live at the Mirasol again, we would for sure. Our one complaint would be the rent increase-something like $200 to renew. You can rent a house in Celebration for less. If someone is interested in renting at the Mirasol, we would recommend the Main Resort Building (no dogs allowed) and a high floor facing the preserve (for privacy). That's what we had and we loved it. I'm sorry others have had such bad experiences, maybe we were walking in favor!
