Mirasol at Celebration
< | >
We lived for one year in a Mirasol APARTMENT and we can tell you first hand it was the worst APARTMENT we ever lived in and we couldn't wait to end the lease.
Some of the great features of Mirasol APARTMENTS: Noise, noise noise. You will enjoy hearing every one of your neighbors through every wall, ceiling, window, and door of your fantastic Mirasol apartment. You can hear their TV's, radios, vacuum cleaners, water running in the pipes, showers, and sinks, dogs left in apartments barking, washing machines and dryers running, cabinets slamming, front entry doors salmming so hard it shakes your APARTMENT and windows. Not to mention the sound of everyone walking on the tile covered hallways in the buildings. Oh, and if you live in the main building, expect even more disturbances by the sound of the elevator going up and down all day and night and the even narrower and louder tile floored common hallways. It's great! The best torture is if you have an adjoing unit with hardwood or tile floors, the sound is enough to drive you insane -especially when you have a neighbor who likes to wlak around with heels on all the time.
Don't be conned by the "concrete construction" SALES PITCH, it's worthless. The design of these chambered pre-formed walls only amplifies sounds between units like an echo chamber because NO insulation was used in the walls. If you don't believe me, do what we did and stick a screwdriver through the drywall and you will see and feel that there is NO insulation, just a one inch gap of air, then you hit concrete. All you have between units is about a six inch hollow concrete barrier.
This Mirasol debate has been going on for years. We actually lived in the place, and from our own experience and all the horror stories we heard from many past residents, we can honestly tell you this place is not what it appears to be on the surface. Most people are not compelled to go online and write wondeful glowing reviews of an apartment they live in. I have no doubt the people writting positive reviews of Mirasol are agents for the local Celebration realty firm who has exclusive claim on Mirasol and are desparately trying to sell these units that have been sitting empty for almost two years. Either that or it is an owner of a Mirasol unit who is trying to quiet negative press becasue they are trying to unload the lemon they bought, or a current Mirasol employee.
As far as the "many awards" Mirasol has won: they were given primarily for aestetics, and awarded by people who never actually lived in any of the units, so what is that worth' Try living in this place for a year, then see what your opinion is.
And to claim Mirasol has "the best amenities in Celebration" is a laughable. All they REALLY have is a very small pool and tiny hot tub that never works, a pay-per-use hose and vacuum to clean your car, a pool table and TV in the "lounge", the typical Florida apartment complex workout room, and an on-site spa that costs an arm and a leg. Big deal. As if you can't get that at any apartment/condo complex in Florida.

Why should we believe anything from someone who is trying to slander a stranger who may have a valid opinion of their experience renting? Actually the negative reviews of Mirasol are 100% accurate and truthful, we lived there. The place was a scam and rip-off from day one and continues to be. Just because they now call them condos instead of apartments doesn't make them any better. Anybody who would pay $400,000 to $900,000 for a converted cheap apartment is just plain ignorant. You can buy a beautiful house in Celebration for that money. Sounds like the positive reviewer who keeps chiming in is having a problem selling their lemon and is worried about more truthful negative info getting out on Mirasol.
There are people in this world who live in a bubble and oblivious to reality, which is what this positive reviewer sounds like to me.
It's nice to know that for that kind of money people are vandalizing the place.
Mirasol conversion condos were on the market long before the realestate decline(3 years ago), and they weren't selling then either. There is a reason for that. Buyer beware. Don't believe the flakes.

What kind of person rejoices in the vandalism of someone else's home? You sound like a bitter, vengeful person. Why would anyone continue a vendetta against an apartment they lived in for one year for three more years?

We live there and LOVE it! We are in the main building and find it very quiet. The services are excellent, the maintenance is done in a timely manner and the NEW management team does a terrific job.
I find these negative reviews to be down right FALSE.
Please check it out for yourselves and talk to the residents before making a decision.

OMG, anyone who has lived here has realized how noisy this place. Hey agents quit putting your opinions on here. Everyone knows it is management and realtors placing their opinions on how wonderful mirasol is. give me a break. I lived there for 2 years thinking it would change not a bit..that is why all the doctors, attys are moving out because it is not what it is cracked up to be. And if you buy one you are the fool.

If people really believe in what they are saying, why not use your name instead of posting anonymously. If not you should keep your opinion to yourself.
