I lived at 880 for almost 5 wonderful years, then moved to GA. Upon returning to FL last year, I immediately went to 880 where I found a side door wide open. I entered & went upstairs to the office. The girl rudely asked how I got in. I told her the side door was wide open. She had the audacity to ask me to go out that way & close it when I left! I then visited again with plans to move back. The former management/maintenance team had been top notch! When I visited the make-shift office (due to construction of the new management?s plush offices), I had to wait while the TCRS rep was out front having her cigarette! While waiting, 2 different tenants came in the room complaining to the (and I use the term loosely) security doorman about the lack of maintenance...one had no air in August! I got the usual apt. sales pitch from the TCRS "cookie cutter girl", but when I asked her about 24 hour maintenance, she said "oh, no...we don?t have enough staff". I was shocked...used to getting same day service! When we toured the building (hallways do look fantastic!) I heard loud rock music coming from one apt. I said I would not like to live next to that! She rudely said, they can play their music til 10 pm! Whatever happened to not disturbing your neighbor' The elevator interiors were ugly & trashed with food & papers. No apology or explanation was given. Kids running around hallways. New carpeting and kitchen cabinets are CHEAP! How sad to lose those beautiful wood cupboards! 880 used to be upscale, classy and have a warm homey feeling. The beautiful beach, olympic pool, library & other amenities - it was a wonderful place to live! It now appears that they have thrown it all aside for cheap superficial "upgrades", false promises & to try to fill space with anyone who can come up with the money! Even though rent used to be on the low side for what we received, raising the rent several hundred dollars & reducing or even eliminating service is not acceptable. What a shame to have that once beautiful landmark and wonderful place to live destroyed by such an incompetant staff & management company. TCRS, SHAME ON YOU! I will never move to one of your apts anywhere!
