...we were soooooooo incredibly happy when we first moved here. We were one of the 1st tenants to move into our particular building. It was quiet, brand new, and we had the best and most tranquil view EVER! However, after about 6 months when everyone else moved in we started hearing loud music from somewhere and a girl screaming often at her boyfriend! Not long after we starting being ACCUSED of playing loud music and fighting, which we definitely did not do! They issued us a warning notice for terminating our lease and then about 2 months later left a horrible letter telling us our lease was terminated and we had "7" DAYS TO MOVE OUT! What a horrible thing to do with no proof! We're NOT guilty of ANYTHING! The property manager is NEVER available, and the office staff is constantly in rotation and we've only lived here less than 8 months! Something doesn't jive here. The property manager didn't even call or ask to meet with us before leaving such a horribly alarming letter on our door! They have no courtesy officer on the grounds to witness and address noise problems with the guilty tenants. Therefore, since there's been no police reports or witnesses, they're believing tenants who really can't pinpoint where the noise is really coming from in an apartment building. We are in the process of getting a lawyer to defend us, since I guess this apt. property's motto is "guilty until proven innocent!" We're VERY disappointed because we were hoping to stay here for at least 2 years before we decide on getting a condo or house of our own. Now who knows what's gonna happen! :( We were told by our last property manager that we were two of there BEST tenants ever and they NEVER got one noise report about us in OVER "3" years of living there!

Also, the maintanence is a bit slow and incompetent. It took "6" trys to fix a simple toilet tank problem! In addition, our air conditioning doesn't work right. On hot days, one side of the apt. is hot and the other side is freezing! They offered us some lame excuse, saying is was because of where the air conditioning unit is located in the apt. It's funny that wasn't an issue in our last apt. building! Lastly, so much for being a gated community like they told us when we rented! The gate to the back apt's, where we live, has NEVER worked properly since we moved here in April!!! If it does it's for a day and then it breaks again! Really...something doesn't jive here at Alta Largo!!!
