wow :(

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
The good: Very spacious. The maintenance crew is very good and responds very quickly. Lawn is mowed every week, or as needed.
The bad:
The grass is dead in many of the areas around the apartment complex and it has been this way for a long time.
The gates are always broken, and when not broken, they are never closed anyways.
The new upstairs neighbors never stop moving. It seems like they are on constant, (running), patrol between the front door and the rear sunroom sometimes spilling into the bedrooms and the bathroom. You can hear every loud step, as though they were stomping. This is especially troubling for us because my wife is pregnant and she is already uncomfortable and can not sleep peacefully as it is. This just makes it that much harder for her to fall asleep.
Some of the staff is very helpful, but the office manager is terrible. The whole staff was recently replaced to prevent Tenants from being so unhappy, but the crew that has come in to replace them is no better. They are great until you sign the papers and become a tenant
My wife and I want to break the lease so that we can move into a 3 bedroom home. We have 2 children now and one on the way. When we moved in it was fine to live in our 2/2. We were told when we moved in that we would not be able to stay in our 2/2 apartment if we were to have another child. With that being said, we cannot afford the 1475-1575 per month that a 3/2 bathroom costs here, (we are not a section 8 family). We were told at the beginning that, if we were to break the lease, we would be responsible for the rent until the unit was rented, and that, our place would be rented first if we left. This was great news, but apparently B.S. The new office manager has assured us two different stories just so that we could not leave. 1st "she" told my wife that Tenants could choose the building they wanted to live in. Then after we did all the leg work finding someone to rent our place, she told her that, they had to rent all the available units before they could rent our place. In addition to this they will not extend the move in special to them either. She even told my wife that she had to look at it from a business perspective. From my experience, word of mouth is the absolute best form of advertisement. If you treat me like crap I am likely to tell all of my friends, and people I meet who are inquiring about our apartment complex and give them a bad rep. Much like I am doing now. From a business stand point; there should be much better customer service. They treat us like we are second class citizens, when in actuality we pay their salaries. It is not like we are moving out and trying to leave them high and dry.
I would not recommend this place to anyone and it is unfortunate to because the apartments are beautiful, but they are not put together very well.
