When my company and I were seeking accommodations for myself, we had our goals set on a professional, upscale and luxury community. Upon first look at Audubon Villas we thought we had found a good pick. We were deceived.
My experience at Audubon Villas has been nothing short of an extreme let down. Not only do I feel I have wasted my money but further feel a frustration at the lack of professionalism from the staff here.
Problems:
1.The apartments themselves are old and not up to luxury standards by any means. There are cracks in the walls, ceilings and the carpet was not in great shape either.
2.The walls are paper-thin. I submitted complaints about neighbors blasting music as early as 6:30AM more than 6 times and nothing was done. The leasing office addressed us by him or her telling my wife that we were mistaken because no one lived above us or next to us. So I guess it was all imagined. We can here every detail of toilets flushing and everything else that proceeds.
3.The Alarm in the Leasing/Fitness building goes off at least 5 times a week around 10:30 or so. Numerous angry tenants and myself have called and complained but still it goes unattended.
4.We were led to believe upon move in that your complex had ALL of the normal luxury services such as trash pick up, a nice gated entry, etc. Well, no trash pick up (unlike the rest of the apartments around you) and the most ridiculous gated access system I have seen yet. Most Luxury complexes have the common sense of having boxes that you can use from inside your vehicle, not cards that you have to press against the box in the pouring rain.
5.We have kept our rent paid ahead at all times. In January we found a letter at our door stating that we had not paid and please do so within 3 days. I had to contact my accountant and have him fax proof of this payment. Who loses payment of a tenant and further cause me the embarrassment in front of friends when I come home to find such an accusation' I was not impressed with the attitude I received from the office staff when addressing this matter. I am paid in advance and continue to be in that state.
6.After more than 6 phone calls to Bee Safe alarms company and to the office, I still have no working alarm in my apartment. They came out once and did not fix the problem as they thought and never returned. I merely unplugged all of it and was tired of calling.
It just amazes me how you can charge the fees that you do and exist with the problems that you have and actually be content with this property.
I am actually excited that I did not actually sign a year lease here. I will return to a property that knows what Luxury is and how to treat their tenants.
A response would be appreciated but I do not anticipate one.
