I am not sure about those negative reviews, but I have lived in the Feathersound area for 6 years and moving from a town home a view of my neighbor?s yard to a view of a small lake, lovely landscaping, and some exceptional homes, is quite pleasant. I wake with the sun and sit on my modest Spanish tiled veranda listening to the birds and the fountain, while sipping my coffee. Compared to other complexes in the area I find the resort style living accurate. We have tennis courts, a billiards room, a fitness center, an in door basket ball court, with a fine pool and Jacuzzi. The pool is often quite and relaxing. The feather sound community is consistently active with people walking, biking, roller blading, or running.

I know several of my neighbors, including young professional couples, and professionals who have lived on the property from 4 to 7 years. I have not met any of the Springer folks yet. Yes parking in some places can be a bit tight, but easily remedied with a garage or covered parking. I must admit that there are a few college students, but I have to argue that the location is very convent to reach USF School of Medicine and Stetson College of Law. Yes the quality of cars has also gone down in the past 3 months. There are only 2 BMWs in front of my building, 1 Land Cruiser, 1 Grand Cherokee, 1Lexus, 1 Mercedes, 1 Corvette, I Avalon and 1 Camry. I suspect that the ad exe in the Lexus may be the one with the base tube.

I have lived here for 2.5 years and in that time I have seen people come and go and I have been happy to see a few difficult people leave. I have found the office staff helpful albeit busy with the number of people wanting to look at apartments. On occasion I have heard a tenant rant and rave and make apparently unreasonable demands. I do agree that one should receive service consummate with where one chooses to live. However they must have ?Audubon? confused with ?Autumn,? expecting the caliber of service one might expect at a Four-Seasons Residence. Yes I do have to retrieve my own dry-cleaning and wash my own car, but I understood that when I selected this property. Even so Audubon Villas is one of those rare communities where I have called for maintenance and the situation was corrected the same day.

This is an exceptional community and offers quite a bit more then what is available in the area. For the present I consider Audubon Villas home and I would much rather have such unhappy individuals live else were.
