I noticed that most of the reviews were written a few years ago and Cameron Lakes has gone through some changes since then. I love this place and feel that I have to defend it. During the year that I lived here they have repainted all the exterior apts, put in new lanscape all over the property, repaved the parking lot, fixed the sidewalks, put in new pool furniture, and much more. Cameron lakes is so close to major retail shops and yet it has the feel of being tucked away from everything. There are lots of trees throughout the property and there is a lake with very pretty views. I have a lakeview apt and it is very nice to sit on the patio and look at the view. Another thing that is very important is that the staff is AWESOME!!!!! They are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Jessica, Amy, and Kristy always have a smile on their face and if you have a problem with anything they will fix it. Andy and Nic are the maintenace guys and they are soooo cool. They do a great job of keeping the grounds clean and are right there to help fix any problem you have. I read in some of the reviews about drugs and crime but I have never seen anything like that. I work late at night and when I come home I walk my dogs. I feel completly safe at night and never see anybody doing anything wrong. The only thing that someone might have a problem with is the construction on US19. That took me a little getting used to. We are located very close to US19 and it takes a little longer to get around because of the construction. After awhile I learned of some short cuts and back roads to use that help cut down on some time. That is my only complaint!! As you can tell from this review I absolutely love this place and I would recommend it to anybody. I lived here from 2005-2006 and the only reason why I am moving is because of personal reasons, otherwise I would be renewing my lease.

Everything Amber has said is true, unfortunately she is correct about the US19 construction as well. My parents lived here for 10 years and then I took over the apartment after they passed away. The management cared for my parents as well as anyone could expect and then some. Then they were just as nice to me. It is just common human nature, if you are nice to them they will be nice to you. I lived there for 5 years and I have nothing but good things to say about living at Cameron Lakes. Mr. Klein
