I just recently moved in and there are alot of things I like about this complex.

Parking:
There is enough parking to satisfy each resident. Yes, you may not get the spot right infront of your unit but walking 30 seconds to the door is no problem.

Noise:
As far as noise inside, very little, I may hear my neighbors every so often but rarely get disrupted by noise being overwhelming. Outside, there is no loud parties going on nor is there kids loiterring throughout the complex.

Grounds:
I did alot of searching for apartment complexes throughout the Pinellas County area and this complex offers a very pretty view. The lake is wonderful and the fountain in the middle has been working since I moved in. The building exteriors are not run down nor is the remodeled pool area. The complex is currently building a new facility for excersize. Yes the gates do not work currently but that is not a very bad issue due to the safe location of this complex.

Safety:
I am a law enforcement officer and I see other officers reside in these units as well. I would feel comfortable leaving my door unlocked for the night and I feel comfortable going out in the middle of the night alone. This complex has not given me any reason to feel unsafe and the walls seclude the complex any prohibit potential risks from entering.

Construction:
Some of the apartments are being remodeled as well as the gym facility. The pool area is newly remodeled but I have not visited it yet. Everything seems to be updated and if not it will be shortly. US-19 is no longer going through construction around the area so that is no longer an issue.

Maintenance:
The maintenance staff is very friendly and is there to help you out. They do not only just respond to service requests by the staff, they will also give opinions and help you personally if you see a problem. When a service request is put out they respond quickly.

Staff:
The staff has been very nice and has treated me with respect. They do not have a problem if you call and make requests and have been very pleasant to deal with.

Overall:
All the positives and no negatives' There are a few but they are very minimal. Yes, the gate does not work, which is not a big deal because its generally a safe environment secluded from major traffic. The pet policy of Cameron Lakes is very open to larger breed dogs so if you absolutley despise pets being around, you may find this place not appeasing. The pet owners do keep after there pets and Cameron Lakes offers dog stations around the grounds to give owners easy access to clean up after their pets. In conclusion, the environment is full of respectable people, families and older citizens which makes for a good environment. I used this website alot to search for apartments and I found that most people only use sites like this to tell the negatives of a place. This place offers alot of positives and I don't see any real reason not to rent here.
