It's a dump.

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
When I looked at these apartments, I was shown a nice, clean and unlived in "model" unit in the front of the complex. The price was good, it looked nice and I asked about safety which I was assured was not an issue. Then I signed the lease and began the moving processes. After crying for 2 days, I began the to clean the roach droppings out of the cabinets, the grease trails dripping down the walls and cabinet doors, the hair out of the bath tub and sanitizing every inch of the place. I even took my own carpet cleaner and redid the carpets. My dishwasher was black inside with mold. They did run a cleaning solution through it - mighty nice of them now that the utilities were in my name. It never did work and flooded the kitchen with every use. I was told twice that I was using too much soap in the dishwasher - because you know I am idiot and don't know how to use a dishwasher. After 3 complaints they did replace it with a used dishwasher that never cleaned the dishes. I gave up and just and washed everything in the sink. I was assured there was assigned parking but that was only if one of your neighbors didn't decide to park there. My vehicle was hit twice in the doors - I realize that is not an issue with the apartment complex management, but it just added to the whole experience. There are restrictions about working on cars, but they are not enforced. So the neighbors who own 2 or more cars and only one was working could easily work without worry that the management would enforce thier policies. The bushes and trees were so over grown that for me to get to my second floor apartment required a limbo dance to avoid the pertruding limbs on the stairway. It was especially fun at night and the many rats living in the area where out in full force. I had great next door neighbors, very quiet and hardly heard a peep out of them. But the downstair apartments were a different story. There were times I heard their conversatation so clearly it was like they were sitting in my apartment. My next door neighbor said the same thing about their downstairs neighbor. Before I finally escaped the "hood" that is Melrose on the Bay, I noticed an increase in the number of police coming into the complex. I am convinced these apartments are now section 8 homes (even though I cannot prove it). I wouldn't send my worse enemy to this apartment complex. Don't even try to contact the property manager because phone calls are never returned.
