Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
Late fees start on the 2nd of the month and the lease includes a clause entitling them to permanently increase your rent by a set amount for each day you're late. I'm 1/2 way through my second lease and in order to break it I'd have to come up with 4 months rent plus the difference in the "market value" and what I currently pay PLUS the "discount" I'm getting - total is over $5000. Unbelieveable. Maintenance is slow to non-existent and management shows no flexibility on anything. I'm getting out of here if I have to take out a loan to do it.
