Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
I have lived in Aurora @ Cagan Crossings for about 2 years and have been somewhat satisfied. The rent is very low which works well for me. The apartments are in average condition especialy upon move in. The first apartment I lived in had fresh paint on the walls but really terrible carpet that was in terrible condition. The carpet is a cheap quality rough kind that is quite uncomfortable. The second apartment I moved into was not quite what I expected. Though the carpet is new in this apartment it is still crappy. The tile flooring in the kitchen is coming up the closet doors are cheaply made and the walls are some funky shade of white. In the upstairs bathroom it looks like a major part of the wall had been repaired because someone put a hole in it. the patch job is shotty and looks tacky. As many other people have stated in here if you live in aurora you are not treated like you are if you live in ridgepoint. You have to goto the manager of the aurora side to really get anything done right. She is the only one who seems to care about the residents. If you talk to the ridge point manager and you dont live in ridgepoint expect her to be rude and nasty cause well she is. I have had an ant problem since I moved in and everytime I talk to the aurora manager its taken care of right then. The other woman will tell you that you have to wait until pest control comes out once a month. If you turn any maintanace requests into the office to anyone other than the Aurora manager then it never gets taken care of. I can not vouch for the level of crime for the only thing I have ever been privy to is about 30 cars in both sides of the complex had their tires slashed. I myself have never had any crimes take place other than that withing my view. don't take that to mean there isnt any crime I just work to much. They have started to rent to anyone and thats on both sides. Seriously there are far better apartment complexes in this city. unless you have to... DONT move into this place. its not worth it. And the way the complex does the gas/water bill is a total nightmare. the aurora side is billed in lump to the complex and then averaged out with the larger townhome and flat getting the largest bill and smaller ger the lower bills, they issue the bill on the 28 or 29 of the month to the apts then expect you to pay it on the first. KNOWING most people in these apts live pay check to pay check. And if anyone from the complex reads this I highly recommend paint on the inside and outside of the apartment.
