When we came to check out the apartments in Ridgepointe there were none to be seen but the leasing office was sure to show us the new Town Center Condos. Nice and new but odd layout and regardless of the tile floors, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, with bedrooms and bathrooms that tiny have no room to ask that much for rent. After perusing the different unit floorplans we settled on the largest unit available at Ridgepointe called Orchid. For the square footage and price it couldn't be beat and we have friends who rent here so we thought with all the praise they gave this place it was a smart move. Move-in day came and we sign the lease and are given our keys to the apartment, we go to open the door and the keys don't work and it seems that there are workers inside getting the place ready for us since someone in the leasing office accidentally signed us for the following month to move in. After a sincere apology and generous compensation along with a promise that we could move in that night we came back later in the day to bring some of our stuff and start the daunting process of moving. First thing I noticed was that the cleaning job done was not the best. Of course I let this slide because ---- happens and I did not want to start off on the wrong foot with these people. Mom always said you get more flies with honey than vinegar. So everything seems okay, besides the cleanliness issue but I realized only a day or two later what a mistake we made moving into the ground floor unit. The neighbors above us sound like migrating elephants and I don't know how long I can take that. I have left a polite note on their door and if the noise doesn't decrease then we will definitely be involving Cagan Mgt. and deciding if we can move to another unit or break lease. One great thing about Florida Law is that every tenant is guaranteed to the right of peace and quiet. So...we shall see and I will update on the outcome of my battle for a little solitude.

Other than these little snafus I really have to say everyone has been very friendly and helpful. If I wasn't such a city boy and enjoyed being in the middle of everything Cagan Crossings seems like a nice place to live. You definitely get your dollars worth when it comes to square footage and now I think we have more room than we know what to do with! LOL
