I have been a resident of Nelson Park for one year. I wont be a resident much longer. Safety seems to be a big issue here. The cops frequent the complex due to constant fights and noise complaints. If they're not there on voilence calls, the fire department is there because some unsupervised 3 year old pulled the alarm. If you want to live here, you better have perfect eyesight, or you might run over a group of younger, unsupervised children playing in the middle of the street. As for the type of people who live there.. Hope you dont value any of your possessions. They certainly dont. At given opportunity they will disrespect your property. Examples' Urinating in the hallways and sitting on top of vehicles that dont belong to them. As for maintence, the staff is nice but inadequate. Management is the biggest joke I have ever seen. They dont care about any concerns you have. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemie.

I would never in my life recommend Nelson Park to anyone, I have lived here for almost a year I will be leaving very shortly. The grounds of Nelson Park is very filthy, trash everywhere, dog crap in basically every inch of the complex. If you are late on a payment for a day the send you a notice stating if they dont get the money they'll be sending you to eviction. I understand they want their money but damn just for day late you get evicted, i've never in my life heard of such thing. They constantly leave notices in front of your door so that anyone passing thru is free to read it. Kids run around in the late hours of the night making constants noice. Weather it be the kids or the adults theres always a fight. They dont even allow you to get your own cable the cable the give you doesnt even have what most basic cable providers give you. You can't have your own cable people to put the cable you want. Maintance comes about a good couple months after you call. Nelson Park is a joke. Its hard ti live here. Im counting down the days til i never have to step foot in here again.
