Ok.....so here's the skinny. I've lived here for almost 4 years now, and the point is this; it's not the management like everyone thinks - it's the owner of the property - just when you think the manager is doing something good for the community, the owner either transfers them or better yet, fires them because they're spending HIS money. I don't know the owner, but I can tell you he is a slumlord.

It's all about ME, ME, ME......and screw the people who live here. He can't convert the complex into condos (stipulation by Lake County & the Equal Housing Authority) to make more $$, because of the 99 year lease on the land that was put in place when the complex was built - it was built to be affordable housing for the cast members @ Disney.......just like the housing communities that surround it. Did you know that the owner receives a 'kick-back' of 4% of your rent for being an 'Equal Housing Authority' sponsored complex'''' Figure that one out.

Since he can't convert them to condos to make the BIG BUCKS, he takes from where he can - lack of amenities (the pool just opened LAST WEEK after being closed for health violations for a year) - no operating gates, lack of quality maintenance on the apartments, BUT, he DID hire an after hours security company to monitor the entrance - they were as bad as some of the riff-raff that live here and they didn't check every 'unauthorized' vehicle that entered the complex. The garbage containers are STILL here (50 cubic yard construction dumpsters) and are now filled with tree trimmings - not to mention that one whole section of the yard on the property has tree trimmings piled up from over a month ago. Can you say 'Fire Hazard'''''

The crappy part'' I can't afford to live in Cagan Crossings (the nicer of the 4 complexes in South Clermont) - and even though it's nicer than here - they've had more crime in their complex than we do here.

I guess my thoughts are this - If you moved to Florida thinking you were going to be able to rent or buy a home for less than where you came from - think again. I've been in this crazy state we call Florida for 5 years now, and the only thing I have to show for it is 'clinical depression'.

I'm going to leave these few thoughts to all who read my post.....

We all need to quit being whiny. We all need to hold ourselves accountable for our OWN actions, not those of others. We all need to teach our children right from wrong. If you continually do what you're custom to, you'll always receive the same results. Make a difference - not only for you, but for your spouse and children.

I can't make people quit doing things that are wrong and unlawful - I do however, make the choice to choose the right thing to say, do and act.

Guns don't kill people - people who use guns unlawfully do.

Until the new manager is ousted by the owner........

Yes ido agree with you.Its like the maintance. When they hired the new guys. One of them was always friendly and willing to help when he could and then they go and transfer him to Nelson Park.

I know the security that lives here. I met him when I moved in. He is out walking around till one or two in the morning,an he has the sheriffs in the complex alot more then they were when we moved in. Me an my friends that live here are glad he is here,We could live next door but it is safer here an the place is changeing alot.If you are not happy here get out an complain to people who will listen to your own stupid opinions. If you are really unhappy then tell everyone who reads what you write your real name.
