Let me start by saying that at first, overall I liked living here. BUT, as the months went on I found out; the walls are EXTREMEMLY thin, management does NOTHING to resolve problems, the back gate is BROKE, 2 cars have been stolen and many more vandelized. MANAGEMENT NEVER sent out a letter warning us about anything happening.
In addition, the leasing manager claims that to FIX the back gate... is TOO expensive.

WAY over-priced, IT IS NOT LUXURY!!!!

IF you want any privacy what-so-ever... DO NOT LIVE HERE> not to mention the pest problems they have.

They omitted the horrible parking problem. Not enough spaces for all the tenants.

Are you people blind? Do you not look around and see the georgeous property we live in? If you actually took the time to research the so called crime in Clermont, you would realize that The Gardens has the lowest crime rate out of any complex. I am a police officer and live here. I know this is the best place to live in Clermont. That's also why so many of my fellow officers live here as well. Regarding the gate, I happen to know that it was residents pushing the gate open and breaking it. Why should you blame the girls in the office for that? I also know that a permit has been submitted for a new gate. The girls in the office told me it would be just like the ones in the front. That way, non caring residents can't push it open because they are too lazy to bring their gate remote with them. I have lived here for almost two years now and I have never had a parking problem. Maybe the residents should ask their girlfriends/boyfriends or just friends to park in an area less conjestied so that ligitimate residents can have a place to park. Sorry to be so blunt in response to your claims but I love living here and don't want the name of this great complex ruined by you.

I also live here and I would have to say the parking issue is awful.Yes, management is trying to do something about it. But residents in my area are still parking in the wrong spots if they have a garage. As far as the back gate, it is May and I still can not use my remote to enter the complex. I have asked weekly when I will get a new remotre and my response is "We don't know". I asked if it will be a couple of weeks or exactly how long? They just continue to say, "we don't know". I guess by not answering your question is how they can say things don't fall on deaf ears. Also, there were only letters put on apartments around the people who got their cars stolen. There were actually three cars stolen and several vandalize and attempts to be stolen. As a manager of the complex, Heather, you should notify your residents of issues that affect their safety. By trying to hide it only makes it worse. Now for the positive, and this is for Heather too. Yes, the Gardens does an excellent job at keeping the community beautiful. The landscape is well done and well kept. More than I can say for the Village at East Lake. Also, the pool area is the best of all the apartments in Clermont. It can not be outdone. Inside the apartments are the best I have seen in Clermont as well. Tile floors in kitchen, bath and entry way. Nice appliances and upgraded cabinets. The screened in porched is a huge plus! Especailly in Florida. I would recommend this place to live if looking for a place in Clermont Fl. These issues are exactly what you would find anywhere else. Also, the Gardens offers resident events for children and holiday events. Something I have yet so see other complexes do as much as the Gardens. The only improvement I think needs to be done is communication on issues of safety. That should come first. I mean if we don't know whats going on how can we help watch out for our neighbors. Community awareness is key to prevention. Of all the available apartments in Clermont, the Gardens is the best!
