I live at The Gardens and am on the first floor. I sleep like a baby at night. I'm even a light sleeper. I'll wake up to anything, my wife can sleep through a hurricane. We have a family living above us. They have 3 kids!!! Yeah, sometimes I can hear them walking around but it's an apartment community people. I can't hear my neighbors conversations. I've lived in an apartment home for years now because I am not ready to buy a house. I personally don't want to rent a home here as owner's are foreclosing all over the place and nothings secure. I could move in and they turn around and sell! Then... I would have to move AGAIN... I would much rather live in a beautiful place like The Gardens until I am ready to buy a permanant home. You know...some people just aren't the type to live in apartments. If you can't deal with neighbors in close proximity, mabye you should rent a home. Regarding the gate, you know as well as I do that gate was destroyed by residents and finally the garbage truck guy. Give them a break.

I agree with you completely some people are never happy. Part of living in an apartment is having neighbors and being close in proximity. I don't think that anyone like that would be very satisfied. Even with acres of land, the bird chirping may become a nuisance. As for the back gate, we have a few knuckleheads living there and even in my parents gated VERY expensive community the knuckleheads find their way in and break things. I've also never heard my neighbors conversations word for word. Maybe this person needs to quite listening so hard. As for myself my fiance and I love the Gardens. At one point we considered the Vista's but as you said we don't like the idea of moving around from place to place. Our next and last move will hopefully be a new home.
