Response to voice mail is nonexistent. Response to issues is treated as though you are being difficult and your request are unreasonable. I feel that upon move in a tenant should expect that the walls have been painted, Carpets are and floors are clean, widows have been washed, and cupboards and closets have been cleaned as well. I found a smell of dog in the entryway. I found cup circles on painted surfaces. I was told that it is normal for clean carpets to still show all furniture markings from previous tenant. My biggest complaint is that I feel as though I will have to hire my own people to clean and take care of maintenance issue.

wow you are absolutely right. When there is a problem it's best to fix it yourself. I had a maintenance emergency and called the emergency # and wasn't called back til 9:30 the follwing night! Our parking lot light has been out for months and we reported it in October guess what...it's still out! Maybe as residents we need to start with holding rent until these issues are fixed, for the amount of rent everyone is paying the quality is that of the cheaper "low rate" communities. Might as well pay less and deal with the same crap or at least know you will deal with crap than to pay so much for nothing.
