Do not rent an apartment from this complex/the same for Hawthorn Apartments (AKA Village Green). Terrible management. Old with mold, roaches and more roaches.The same management for both properties. There isn't anyone on premises at Riverside. I rent 2/1, 2nd floor of 3rd floor apt. The building is so old, when the bottom floor slams the door it rocks my entire apt, pictures fall off the wall and eventually,vibrate off table after time. The people above try to walk as softly as possible - it's not easy. The flooring/ceiling is so thin there is no avoiding disturbing your neighbor. I have seen people move in, then back out in as little as 1 month. Carpet not changed for clearly several years (not even installed completely!), paint is the same. When we first moved in, the a/c unit worked very poorly - low on freon, they brought me 2 window units and then 3 weeks later sent someone to fix. The problem was not fixed, and finally resolved 5 weeks to the day of reporting the initial problem- all this in the dead of August!
There is no doubt the apartments are cheap, and if you don't have much money,then you will have no choice. The people who actually live here are all in the same boat and are kind and humble... the management isn't.
